Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves include Conservation and Archaeological Alert Areas and are surrounded by several 'special status' areas such as SSSIs, APACs and so on. Sites of Special Scientific Interest Status are carefully protected as are Areas of Particularly Attractive Countryside. The Parish Council has been involved in the creation of Village Design Statements that should help to protect and enhance the natural and built environment.
