Church recordsMost of the records for local baptisms, births, marriages and burials are housed in the Leicestershire Record Office. Many will be in microform, some are the printed originals. Staff can make searches and copies for you but there are charges and it can take 6 - 8 weeks for them to respond. To enter the Record Office you will need a ticket. You must produce TWO forms of identify proof with a photo. The table below will guide you to what's available. The address and opening hours of the Record Office are at the end of the page.
