Parish Council meetings are usually held on the first Monday in the month in the Village Hall, Woodhouse Eaves, starting with a Planning Committee at 7 p.m. followed by the full Council meeting at 7.30 p.m. If the first Monday is a Bank Holiday the meeting moves to the following Monday. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The first 15 minutes of each full Council meeting are allocated to questions from residents about any item on the Agenda - the Chair has discretion on what is considered relevant to the meeting. If you want Council to discuss anything else please let the Clerk know at least a week before.
The Annual Parish Meeting and exhibition is held in April. In 2009 this will be held on Wednesday 22 April.
The Annual Business Meeting is held in May - this is when Chair and Vice-Chair are elected, Members decide which committees to join and what donations and subscriptions are to be made and paid. In 2009 this will be on Monday 11 May.
There is no meeting in August.
As corporate trustee to the King George's Field [charity no. 1087237] councillors hold an annual trustee meeting to check on progress and approve the financial statement that is sent to the Charities Commission. This is normally in the autumn just prior to the start of a Council meeting.
Committees meet periodically. Finance meets three or four times a year and Minutes and any recommendations are on the next full Council agenda.
The next full Council meeting will be held on Monday 1 December 2008 and will start at 6.50 p.m. with the Annual Meeting of the King George's Field Charity, for which the Council is the Corporate Trustee followed by at 7.00 p.m. with a meeting of the Planning Committee, followed by the full Council meeting at 7.30 p.m. This will be in the Village Hall on Main Street.
