Next full council meeting is on Monday 11 June - because of Bank Holiday on Monday 4th.
Minutes are published in draft form as soon as possible after meetings but not confirmed until the next meeting, and therefore may be changed.
Parish Council meetings are usually held on the first Monday in the month in the Village Hall, Woodhouse Eaves. If the first Monday is a Bank Holiday the meeting usually moves to the following Monday. Everyone is welcome to attend. Draft Minutes are published soon after and have to be confirmed at the next meeting.
15 minutes of each full Council meeting are allocated to questions from residents about any item on the Agenda – the Chair has discretion on what is considered relevant to the meeting. If you want Council to discuss anything else please let the Clerk know at least a week before.
As corporate trustee for the King George's Field [charity no. 1087237] – this is all the land containing playing field, play areas, car park, the hall, annexe and Scout Hut – councillors hold monthly Trustee meetings separately from the main council meeting, but immediately afterwards, to check on progress and approve financial transactions. This change is the result of discussions with the external auditor.
The Annual Parish Meeting and exhibition is held in April. In 2012 this was held on Tuesday 17 April. Annual Reports can be found via the Counciil Administration page and are delivered to every address in the parish.
The Annual Business Meeting is held in May – this is when Chair and Vice-Chair are elected, Members decide which committees to join and what donations and subscriptions are to be made and paid. In 2012 this will be held on Tuesday 1 May.
There is no meeting in August. Committees meet periodically. Finance meets three or four times a year usually at 4 p.m. and Minutes and any recommendations are taken to the next full Council agenda. Follow this link for the minutes of previous meetings.
