Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves include Conservation and Archaeological Alert Areas and are surrounded by several 'special status' areas such as SSSIs, AONBs, APACs and so on. Sites of Special Scientific Interest Status are carefully protected as are Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Areas of Particularly Attractive Countryside. The Parish Council has been involved in the creation of Village Design Statements that should help to protect and enhance the natural and built environment.

In February the Parish Council website was given an award for the Best Parish Information, presented by the Leicestershire Rural Partnership. See the News section for more pictures.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Charnwood and its villages were the guests of the Parish Council on Saturday 6 September and visited the Annual Woodhouse Eaves Horticultural Show. See more on the News page.
